Youth do many activities to support church and community |
|
Over this past year the Youth have done many activities such as:
Souper Bowl Sunday: challenged to raise 300 dollars and collect 300 cans of soup in honor of the Church of the Brethren's 300th Anniversary, they actually raised $586.74 and collected 348 cans of soup.
The Youth also took part with other members of our congregation in the Annville/Cleona area CROP Walk and celebrated as our congregation retained (for the 3rd straight year!) the coveted Silver Sneaker Trophy, given to the congregation that collects the most donations for the CROP Walk.
These projects are not for recognition, of course, but to put the teachings of Jesus into practice in our everyday lives.
The youth enjoy fun activities, too. We had an overnight camp out at our church's South Annville pavilion in July, and have a Swattie Creek Float planned for August, plus a lot of other activities.

Junior High youth take part in our ACoB Youth activities. In addition, the Atlantic Northeast District hosts several Junior High activities each year and we encourage our Junior High Youth to take part in the National Junior High Conference of the Church of the Brethren. |
