Good Friday Cross Walk
April 18, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
On Good Friday members of area congregations will gather together to carry a cross just like Jesus did in a procession as they visit nearby stations. The walk is organized by members of the Annville Cleona Area Council of Churches. Everyone is invited and encouraged to join in the walk. Those participating in the walk will visit each station where participants will hear a scripture and hymns.
There are seven stations and a public witness stop on the route. The route in order is Annville Church of the Brethren, LVC Peace Garden, Annville United Methodist Church, St. Anthony Coptic Orthodox Church, The Plaza at Gacono Reality, Christ United Church of Christ, St. Mark Lutheran Church, and The Lebanon Valley Home. The Cross walk is a great reminder of the suffering Jesus endured as he had to carry the very cross he was was sacrificed on as he died for our sins.
If you would like to participate in the Cross Walk you may meet at Annville Church of the Brethren, 495 E. Maple St., Annville, PA 17038. The walk will start at 12:00 p.m. and walkers will return to the Annville Church of the Brethren around 3:00 p.m.. You may participate in all or any part of the walk you chose. The Cross Walk is a great way to share in some fellowship, visit the areas beautiful churches, and most importantly celebrate Good Friday in remembering Jesus’ sacrifice.
